Overlook is a complicated portrait of idealized Canadian cottage country. My experience spending summers at a remote cottage growing up was a magic part of my childhood and brought an appreciation of nature, independence, and solitude. But cottage country also comes with class politics, issues around the privatization of wilderness, and environmental concerns like light, noise, and physical pollution.
